A third letter from Paul to Timothy has recently come to light. In this shortest of all his epistles, the great apostle clarifies his doctrine of the inerrancy of Scripture…
This is Paulos. I won’t write much, but I just wanted to make something crystal clear that I mentioned briefly in my last letter. Also I’m in jail again so writing’s a bit difficult!
Now that I’m nearing the end of my life I’ve realised something that most people won’t know if I don’t say it clearly: everything I have written is – as it were – dictated by God and therefore to be believed without question!
Apart from the few things where I’ve specifically said it was not from Him, it’s perfect and there are no mistakes. (I’ve also written a couple of things to you in the past that I thought were particularly trustworthy and noted that at the time – though why I did that I really don’t know, since everything I’ve written is equally inerrant!)

Of course, that may be hard for you to stomach (take a little wine in that case LOL) but it’s the truth. In fact, it should be obvious that once I’ve written that my words are His words then that statement itself is His statement. Right? So it must be true!!
Not only that, but everything written by my friends Pete, Jack, Luka, Matt and Marcus are also His words. Oh, yes, and the little letter from Judas and the longer one to the diaspora by Apollos or whoever it was – I forget! Not to mention the letters that Gianni is going to write and the visions he will have (he hasn’t had them yet) on the island of Patmos. (Am I a prophet or what!!)
In fact, all the writings that will – in a couple of hundred years – be bound together into a kind of anthology of Jesus’s new deal are to be considered God’s own words. Without error or question!
Why? Because I say so!
Oh yes, and because Pete once said that my letters were as hard to understand as other holy writings, so they must also be holy writings. It’s logical!
Quid pro quo, I’m saying his letters are, too – are holy writings, I mean, not hard to understand! Fair’s fair after all!

Please pass this on and make sure everyone understands it. And tell them that if they disagree then they are disagreeing with God Himself!
Your father in Christ,
PS: all this goes for the Jewish writings about the old deal, too. But you knew that, of course; you’ve been reading them since you were a little child!
